Unlike many other brokers, particularly the large investment banks, we are an independent agency only boutique broker. You know that when we execute orders for you that we are not offering the position to our proprietary trading desk first.
We can route your trade through all of our Direct Market Access providers as we are not tied to any one in house system. We can use the Hobart Active Liquidity Optimiser system (“HALO”) to decide where to route your order. Hobart regularly reviews our preferred DMA providers to ensure that you are getting the best venue access in the market. This ensures that we have the widest coverage of exchanges, multi-lateral trading facilities and systematic internalisers.

Our sales and trading team has been built slowly and carefully over the years to ensure that we can offer you the knowledge and experience of city expertise in many sectors and multiple markets.
SYSTEMS
To give you the ability to make the most of our impressive market access, Hobart also offer you state of the art systems. This includes two-way fix protocol connectivity linking into our algorithmic trading engines, providing numerous strategies including pairs, TWAP, VWAP and POV. For fully fix enabled clients, we can also accept electronically your individually defined algo parameters.
Once traded, our systems will automatically report back to you via Oasys, e-mail, MBA confirms or Fix. Your trades will then feed to our settlement provider for pre and formal matching and acceptance with a low counterparty risk to you. We will also endeavor to work with you should you have any bespoke confirmation requirements.
