Barry is the Chairman and founder of Hobart Capital Markets, having started the business in January 2005.  As Chairman of the Board he assists his fellow directors with development of the company’s strategy.

Colin is the Chief Executive Officer and one of the founders of Hobart Capital Markets, having started the business with Barry Townsley in January 2005. He is responsible for overseeing all areas of the business and is also responsible, with the rest of the board, for the company’s strategies and direction.

Colin began his career at Nat West before joining Hichens, Harrison & Co in 1987 initially in the corporate finance department, subsequently becoming Head of Operations. In 1990 when Hichens became a PLC Colin was appointed as one of the three Directors.

Darryll is the Director of Institutional Sales at Hobart. He joined the business in December 2005 to help further develop the company, having worked with our Chairman Barry Townsley since 1991. Darryll looks after institutions, hedge funds and ultra high net worth clients and is a member of the Board.

Darryll began his career in 1979. In the mid 90’s he was made a partner at Townsley & Co which became Insinger Townsley in 1999 when the management sold the business to a Dutch investment Bank. He later left Insinger to join Barry Townsley and his team at Hobart.
